How it works
Enter exact words or phrases to search in extractable PDF text and supported document Info values. The inspector also reports XMP presence and page text coverage. Matching is case-sensitive with normalized whitespace; it does not detect dark boxes, run OCR or search XMP contents. No match is not a safety guarantee.

- 2.Review checked pages, target-text matches, supported Info fields, XMP presence and page text coverage.
- 3.Open the redaction tool if the file needs changes.
- 4.Visually inspect every page and review the report's limits before sharing.
Checks search only your supplied target text and report supported Info fields and XMP presence. They do not run OCR, search XMP contents or detect dark boxes. Combine the results with visual review of every page for missed content.
Questions & limits
Does it guarantee that the file is safe?
No. Results cover only the supplied target strings, extractable text and supported metadata checks. Images and other unchecked content still need review.
Which files are supported?
Basic, unencrypted PDFs up to 50 pages and 25 MiB are supported. Files with annotations, internal or external links, forms, attachments, actions or layers are outside this inspection workflow's supported scope.
Does inspecting modify my original?
Inspection does not modify your file. Use the separate metadata-removal tool to create and check a cleaned copy.
